GameBall Thumb

Almost all of my other trackballs stutter their cursor across the screen with a low polling rate (150-250/src depending) even though they feel good in the hand physically.

The Thumb has a curve similar to other thumb trackballs which is good, it feels familiar. The lights around the ball cup are fun and it looks nice on the desk.
It uses a standard 34mm ball so you can replace it with a bunch of after-market styles and colors.

The static friction is decent. It's not zero, but it's as smooth as other non-modded trackballs I have. moving friction is very good, it feels very smooth. On both wired and using the dongle, polling rate feels VERY smooth, like a gaming mouse.

Overall I think this is a good deal and feels close to the Ergo MX or similar "premium" trackballs with better polling for a much better price.

The ball it comes with is not great, I got mine replaced with a different one and it was much better. The light is pretty annoying, I wish I could just leave it on all the time. I know the point of it is you're supposed to have no software but honestly I'd tank the software just so I can change the light settings. I like the adjustable base which in my eyes is the best part about it. Not as smooth as I hoped for to be honest. It's just, okay. Decent for its price but I wish it was a bit more premium, expecially the ball.

Was looking for an upgrade to usual trackball and picked up one of these since it was in the same price range. The choice of wired and wireless is really nice and the ability to change precision is great. If you prefer trackballs, this one is recommended.

Product is amazing, super accurate and crazy comfortable

I'm coming from using a Logitech MX Ergo for the past decade or so, specifically as a couch mouse with my laptop. I miss the multipoint connection and being able to use it for my desktop across the room without getting up, but I can live with that. The ball itself is nicer to use than the Logitech, and I like the lighter click on the buttons. I'm happy that there are so many DPI settings, because my preference (around 1200) is actually an option.

The scroll wheel, though, has a variety of quirks that I don't like. The rubber was weirdly sticky and kind of unpleasant to touch out of the box, though that's getting a little better with use. The scrolling feel is different than the Logitech, with a wider-feeling bump and a little less tactility. But the scrolling accuracy is better (I don't ever have to double scroll to get one click of movement).

The thing that really bothers me about the scroll wheel is that it is completely vertical when the mouse is flat, whereas the buttons are slanted next to it. When I then tilt the mouse to 20 degrees on its base, the scroll wheel feels very awkward. Whether I'm using my index or middle finger, I end up on the right half of the scroll wheel, sometimes even off the rubber onto the steel edge. The angle also causes clicking the wheel to feel like it's going back toward the left button rather than up and down. I wish it was set at the same angle as the buttons it sits between instead, especially because I always use it slanted.

The one other thing that doesn't bother me but might bother some people is there is already a distinctive worn mark where my index finger sits on the left mouse button, and faint but growing marks where I rest on the right mouse button and where I rest my palm as well. I like it; it makes the mouse look loved. But if you like a mouse that stays pristine, this probably isn't it.
