Alright, this track ball is not for every trackball 🖲️ user . It’s taken some getting used to.

I have average to large sized hands for an amab person (long fingers small palms). The initial mapping of the left click was uncomfortable and I had to swap the two main buttons on that side of the mouse. I like that I can do that without additional software.

I also find that it’s causing me to have to spread my fingers out in an uncomfortable way and this is tiring. I know this will go away with time, I had a similar experience learning guitar, but I feel like the gameball could have been a little smaller.

Overall I enjoy it, but I feel like people with smaller hands may want to weigh their options. Maybe the Gameball pro will solve these issues!

First impressions

Overall, good. Would recommend to trackball fans.

- build quality is solid
- has a nice weight
- the movement was scratchy at first but went away after ~10mins of use
- soft touch plastic feels nice. I hope it’s not the rubberized version that gets sticky over time

Best trackball I've ever used for gaming

If you're coming from the trackball marble, this is a must have. It takes a little adjusting but once you're used to it, all bets are off. I'll never touch another trackball. Solid design, very smooth motion of the ball, the awesome dpi settings and button layout make this mouse stand out from its competitors. The only thing I'd like to have would be an actual physical scroll wheel, even if it were super low profile, and I'd honestly like it to come with software so we can really customize the button layouts to our liking.
-1 year of using the gameball.

A MUST HAVE!!!

I can’t be without this mouse!

I’m not a gamer, but I love this mouse because I have nerve damage /carpal tunnel in both hands and using the Gameball is effortless and causes no strain.

Great trackball with growing pains

I have used trackballs for close to 30 years. The best trackball I have is one no longer made, which is why I decided to get this (plus I game). I have tried other trackballs, however most are specific to the right hand.

So, why the title, yet a three star rating?

The bad and ugly...
1) I use trackballs with my left hand, and keep the buttons setup for the right hand. This means that the left mouse button I have to use my ring finger on. As of right now, the buttons are very stiff, and can be a bit unresponsive.
2) I have to use a 3rd party app to disable/reset the buttons to do things besides page forward/backward, no idea why these particular options were decided on, as no mouse I have used have the extra buttons setup like this.
3) The "tilt" scroll is annoying and gets in the way. Had to use 3rd party app to disable.
4) The thing is too small for my hand where the arch is, and too big for my hand with my wrist resting on the desk. I have to use a 1" lift to keep my fingers where they belong.
5) The thing is too slick. Honestly, there needs to be something added for tackiness to keep my hand where it belongs without having to resort to some kind of wrist rest (see item 4 above).

The good...
1) More than 2 buttons!
2) Can flip the buttons between the left/right sides as well as whether the top and bottom button on each side is doing one of the functions (left top button can either be left click or page back).
3) The "scroll wheel" function as a touch pad area is very nice!
4) The DPI change button, having this for the finer motor control is spot on!
5) Having all the functions within firmware so you do not have to use software to maintain the functions (I can go to any computer and the setup would be the same!).

Because the Bad and Ugly is something I have to deal with separate from the actual trackball, and that it causes me to lose hand positioning. With the too big/small issue, it comes down to the arch of the trackball. If I put the arch more in the palm of my hand, my fingers extend beyond the ball and I start rolling the ball with the area between the middle knuckle and the last knuckle. If I move the arch to the "ball" of my palm (this is the first knuckle), my fingers are in a good position, however my hand starts to slide down the device ending with my finger tips toward the back of the ball (cannot easily roll the ball or press the buttons) and my wrist on my desk.

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time and providing the feedback. We do read all of these and they are very helpful. I wasn't sure what you meant by your #3 (Tilt Scroll). Can you elaborate on that please?
