Good, not great

I have been looking for a thumb style trackball mouse to replace my Logitech MX Ergo. The Logitech mouse only lasts about a year and the microswitches for the left and right buttons start to malfunction. I was hoping for a good, solid replacement for this mouse. The GameBall Thumb is an okay mouse, however compared with the Logitech it feels very cheaply made. The trackball "sticks" occasionally and does not have the smooth gliding motion of the Logitech. It is bluetooth capable, but only with a dongle, which defeats the purpose of having a bluetooth mouse to free up USB ports. It is an okay mouse, but unfortunately it does not feel as nice as the Logitech.

I also compared this with the Kensington TB550 and found the GameBall to be a much better mouse. If you're looking for a decent trackball gaming mouse cheaper than the Logitech, but with better functionality than the Kensington then this may be the mouse for you. Unfortunately for me this mouse does not feel as nice as the more expensive Logitech.

Love it so far...

As a data analyst/developer working 60+ hours a week I'm hard on keyboards and trackballs (usually a trackball a year). So when my last trackball went out I went looking for a "gaming" trackball that could hold up and found this. So far I LOVE IT. Great feel, the "tilt" feature is nice and the switches on the buttons feel "real". The battery life so far is good but I don't mind as at times I just keep it plugged in with the USB-C cable and the LED lights go well with my gaming keyboard.

very good but minor wireless glitches

when used wired, it is perfect, the only thing i could ever ask for is more buttons where the ring and pinky finger lie, that would make this truly the best there ever could be. but there is a true problem with wireless, sometimes the ball will stop working for a second, a weird lag every hour or so. but wired ive yet to ever have a problem.

Hello Nati,

You may be getting interference. We have seen this with other customers. I had one customer with an old monitor causing problems. You could test this by trying it on another computer in another room (if possible). Old switches or hubs can also sometimes do this. Please also try a different USB port for the USB dongle.

Thanks
Eric
