Buttons require too much force to trigger

I love many things about this mouse, unfortunately, the button actuation force required to engage the buttons is *much* more than any other mouse I've used so much so that it makes my hand sore after only a short time of use. Friends with much larger hands (think Men's XL+) had a bit easier time of it, but still found it to be a hard click. Sadly it's joined the box of doesn't work for me mice.

Hello Kara. Sorry GameBall wasn't a good fit for you. We do offer a 30 day refund, just send us an email .

Thanks for giving us a try.

Best thumb trackball I used for games and general use.

The best quality about this mouse is the smooth and perrcise tracking. You will feel the difference once you use it. I'm obsessed with trackballs and used all sorts in the last 20 years yet GameBall's mice has the best sensors in it that allows you to play all types of games and programs with accuracy.

Great in most ways

Really like the sensitivity, the shape and feel of the limited edition thumball mouse is perfect, i love that it adjusts angles. I use it for every game that isnt an fps, which is still a lot of games! Its the best thumball mouse ive ever had, but the ball doesnt turn smoothly enough for micro movements, like all mouseballs it jitters and skips a little at certain angles and messes up that perfect shot. Dunno how to fix this but still great way to save my wrist from carpal tunnel syndrome!

It's okay, but...

I feel like it is not possible to set up a suitable sensitivity for me on this mouse. It’s always either too slow or too fast, especially when playing FPS/TPS games, so use of the precision button is a must and even then it’s a bit too sensitive still when shooting far away targets, doesn’t allow for micro-movements. Also the button is in a terrible position, I have to release the ball to click it, and I have to click it every time I aim at something in-game, so I had to give up FPS games completely on this mouse. I found it great when playing No Man’s Sky, Baldur’s Gate 3 and Mass Effect: Andromeda. The mouse is light, but also some elements of it seem poor, like if I accidentally dropped the mouse from a small height some pieces would fall off and stop working. Having to take the ball out with a pen is annoying if you have electric desk with no shelves for pens lol and work on computer lol, I had to buy a pen specifically for this ball, would be nice if you guys started manufacturing some accessory shaped like a stylus or something to go with the mouse.

Thanks for the review and feedback.
Have you tried Raw Accel or something similiar? It may help with those micro movements.

Absolutely BEST TRACKBALL EVER!!!

I've been using thumb-trackballs for decades. Ever since my first laptop, a thumb-trackball, there has been one holy grail of the device: Keeping the ball smooth.
I have tried every Logitech product, which were the best ones overall, along with dozens of other brands/models. In every other case, the ball was perfectly smooth out of the box, but within 3-4 months, the ball was 30% less smooth and it would never get back to it's OOB experience again. No amount of cleaning, lubrication, tricks (I tried them all) would make it smooth again. It was workable & liveable but not great.
Ironically, the trackball I was using right before this at work & home was the Logitech Ergo MX & the ProtoArc, which is the same housing this is based in.
I actually loved the ProtoArc size/shape so that works out perfectly. One of the key flaws in the ProtoArc, the RGB ring, was perfected in the GameBall version, where you're able to choose a solid color for the ring instead of a gradiant. It fits perfectly in the hand, very comfortable even with all-day (and night) use. The buttons are solid, not too loud, with the rubberized plastic right in the spots that matter most to make it even more comfortable.
But the pièce de résistance is the ball and most importantly, the ceramic bearings that hold that ball in place. I have been using two of these, one at work & one at home, for 6 months now and they are both 95% as smooth now as they were out-of-the-box, with only a light cleaning of the bearings for dust every 2 months. I literally cannot say enough about this. It's the holy grail of trackballs and GameBall has achieved it. There is no reason to look for another thumb trackball, the king has arrived, the crown is worn and no one else comes close.
